The current site has been in
occupation since 1899, and Pelly
is aware that a building over 100
years old is not ideally suited to
modern day healthcare.
We have to design and raise
funds to build a brand new
hospital. We’re looking at either
rebuilding or moving and we’ve
looked at a number of different
sites.”
This is likely to cost in the
region of £150 million though,
and this hefty amount brings Pelly
on nicely to the next challenge
on his agenda.
