operations. Parkwood was one of the first homes to
adopt the use of computers for healthcare notes, the
beta site for GoldCare and will soon be the beta site for
GoldCare eMARs.
We’re progressing to point of care charting, we
have electronic health records, we’re going to install
wall mounted computers over the next six months
and have our front line staff chart as opposed to just
the registered staff. We’re going to electronic MARs
in the next six months for medication administration
and we’re getting on board for Clinical Connect to
be connected to residents’ health charts across the
region,” says Piccinin.
