We have also funded capital
projects that are helping towns and
cities across Massachusetts become
“
Life Sciences Ready” and are
creating “one of a kind” resources.
These projects, totaling $190
million to date, have included the
Translational Center for the Cure of
Diabetes at Joslin Diabetes Center,
the Dana-Farber Molecular Cancer
Imaging Center, and the Center for
Regenerative Biology at the Marine
Biological Laboratory. A grant to
fund improvements in the
wastewater system at Framingham
Technology Park enabled Genzyme
Corporation to build a
manufacturing facility in
Framingham that has created 300
new biomanufacturing jobs.
