too: in the last year alone, over 10,000 courses were
completed by employees taking advantage of CHP’s
online courses.
CHP also reaches out to the public using social
media and the involvement of its 250 volunteer board
members, who devote a substantial amount of time
and energy to assuring CHP’s mission the successful
achievement of strategic initiatives. CHP has
increased the use of patient advisory boards as part of
its efforts to improve satisfaction.
FAITH IN THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE
CHP has been in the forefront of health systems that
are helping develop payment models that reward
quality and efficiency. The system was among the
first 80 selected for an Accountable Care Organization
(
ACO) pilot.
Rebuilding patient care models is also critical. CHP
is moving to a Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH)
model that better corresponds to today’s needs.
