Estate of Pernambuco, that produces software for
HIS/CIS. “In Latin America, we have three lines
of businesses. We have what we call the Imaging
Division, where we provide solutions that include
both equipments and supplies for the radiology
department of hospitals. Then, we have the
Radiology IT business division, which is primarily
radiology information systems and PACS (Picture
Archiving & Communication Systems), which are
systems to manage images at the hospital level. And
finally, we have the Enterprise Division, primarily
in Brazil, which encompass software solutions to
manage hospitals workflows at a more general
level,” explains Vladimir Mendoza, Agfa’s American
Latin Director.
Last year, Agfa acquired one of the leading
healthcare IT companies in Brazil, WPD. “This
company already had a product line on the HIS
side, and a customer base of 200 sites in Brazil.
