CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
Since 2006, all the construction held by the Society
came to be made based on sustainable criteria, either
for new buildings or renovation of old buildings. From
then on, all works have been made following the
criteria recommended by the Green Building Council
in the LEED system (Leadership in Energy and
Environmental Design). Also, to provide transparency
and endorse its commitment to sustainability, the
Society joined the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program in
2011,
and was the only health institution to publish
an inventory of greenhouse gases emissions, which
took the base year of 2010 as a reference.
