rental apartment building In 1992, the original
Home was demolished and we built another 60-unit
rental apartment building with a chapel, auditorium,
bowling alley, billiard room, swimming pool, lounges,
atrium, and café. This new building also housed
a new 40-bed Long-Term Care facility. Then in
1994
and 2004, another expansion resulted in 112
apartments and 47 bungalows. These units were
built using a different concept called life lease, where
residents buy the right to occupy a unit without any
of the responsibilities of ownership,” explains Ina
